Skills and Experience

Ken has worked across energy, mining, manufacturing, engineering, demolition, warehousing, infrastructure, local government and both residential and commercial construction environments. His leadership experience includes roles such as Principal Health & Safety Advisor with the Canterbury Earthquake Recovery Authority (CERA), Senior Safety Advisor at Solid Energy New Zealand Ltd, and senior HSE leadership positions within private sector organisations. A qualified systems auditor, Ken has extensive experience in risk-based planning, management system development and implementation, and workforce culture development. He is known for his ability to engage and influence at all organisational levels, embedding critical controls and practical safety behaviours into day-to-day operations. His collaborative problem-solving style ensures consultation with affected parties to identify workable, sustainable solutions.
